Escape 2 Create Retreat, Storms and boners and flaps ;)

Well mother nature decided to throw in a little wild weather just before I headed off to SA and so we spent Monday arvo and night mopping up instead of packing and doing my hair lol. The hail stones were something to  see to believe!!!!

This was taken at around 4pm in the afternoon and the little white speaks you see is the hail bombarding us!! Yes the range rover now has dents in it and we have a few broken sky lights and a peppered patio but we were lucky compared to some!

Once the first front had passed Chionia was brave enough to venture outside and have a play in the "snow" hehe......

and the view up the street

and we found this on the back of Gary's ute.....gave us all a giggle after a few hectic hours!

Then it was time to get serious, pack my gear up (and to keep it all under 23kg - not a mean feat for a scrapper like me!) and fly my way over to SA for the Escape to Create retreat where I was teaching on the Saturday arvo..

I was met at the airport by this gorgeous chick and her beautiful daughters! So exciting to met up once more after chatting online for over 4 years. Made immediately to feel like I was at home thanks to Kelsey sharing her room with me for a few nights before the retreat. We took all day Thursday and Friday to set up and add those wonderful little details such as the goody bags.

and before we knew it it was time to do the meet and greet at the door.
I must say it was the best retreat I have ever been on - everyone made me feel so welcome and I felt right at home as if I had known most of you for years!! I got to catch up with some online buddies such as Ange, Michelle, Sandra and Tiff and Louise as well as meet a few owners of blogs I stalk (hi Tatum!) - Everything ran so smoothly - no little hiccups and no major stress attacks!!! Nothing was left unturned and I think you should all give yourself a pat on the back - I will be back next year - teaching or not!!!! My class went really well seeing I had to use a mike and the last time I used one was at my wedding back in 95!! The ladies embraced all things new and had fun with embossing, paint daubers, colour sprays, and adding texture to LO's...I even had some scrunching virgins who continued to scrunch after the class :) :) :)

Time to go and collect the girls and start packing for Easter so will leave you with a few photo's of the gorgeous chicks :)

Ready to go!!

Amanda's sewing class - hehe - all four machines going at once!

The gorgeous Michelle :)
Meredith had me in tears most of the weekend - especially her boner's and flaps class - I just couldn't follow up with such a witty fun class - but at least I got them dirty!!! ;)

All done and dusted -Val, Meredith, Sue, Amanda and Kathryn :) A job well done :) The food was absolutely delicious although I don't think I want to grate any more carrots for a little while rofl!!!

And before I knew it I was on the plane back to Adelaide to catch my remaining flight back home...I saw Amanda and the girls waving madly as we took off - thankyou for some wonderful memories and making so welcome in your home. Last but not least the project I was working on on the weekend ....just a sneak peak though :)

Recycled GHD box

is now my traveling tool kit!!!! Isn't it cool!!!! My brother and wife :) gave me a gorgeous wooden box last year (with a bottle of champers inside!) for my birthday last year and ever since then it has been my tool kit - it fits everything in and is perfect - I love it ....so much so.....I don't want it damaged mid-flight so I created this instead!!! Friday I had a amassive clean up and throw out (school loves me!) of the crap scrap room...... and found lots of long lost bits!! This is perfect to pop all my bits and pieces in and I just had to scrap it!! Add some G45 and voila ....I will add to it...I just need to organise myself atm though....3 days and I am off to the E2C retreat where I am teaching 50 ladies a gorgeous LO!!!!  I am sooooooo looking forward to it and need the break and a laugh and some fun. I will be staying with the gorgeous Amanda and family as well - and now starting to panic a bit CAUSE I am not organised!!!!!!

Now you all know how I scrap - my main trouble is keeping within the 23kg limit EEEEKKK!!!!

So between now and then I have to organise my house for up to about 2 weeks ahead cause when I get back I have 2 days of school left to dish out invites to Jess's and CHionia's birthdays as well as make cakes of some sort for their classmates and unpack and repack for our Easter trip to Kalbarri which includes Chionia's 5th birthday and then Gary's birthday as well as Easter!!!!

anyway a couple of LO which still need some tweaking from the 3AS CC last weekend...

Ok nearly time for DH to go and collect Jess - she has had a girls movie dinner with girls from school - about 10 of them by themselves (but one mum is escorting them from the movies to Macca's! - phew!).......it is hard to let them grow up sometimes....

3 Angels cyber cropping weekend and Escape 2 Create is not far off!!!

Because life was made for LIVING!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't it funky!!! In just over 2 weeks I will be flying several thousands of km's to go and teach a group of 50 ladies a class in South Australia..I can't wait - there are so many people and friends I can't wait to meet or see again :) getting a bit nervous now lol!! Anyway E2C have a wonderful blog full of challenges and quirky bits and most of all fun :) A few days ago Amanda listed a post about a fun site called befunky where you can alter photo's so I had a go and printed out these two of the girls well - the photo's led the challenge for my challenge at the 3AS cyber crop this weekend :) Enjoy
Have been working on secret squirrel stuff that i have been banned from even talking about - oops!!

Well I bit the bullet

and submitted my DT application to Graphic 45  you all know how much I just love this company.....fingers crossed that I make it into round 2..

Don't you just love long weekends.........Apart from the weather being soooooooooooooo hot lately......(just had  our hottest and one of our driest summers on record) it is nice to wake this morning with a breeze that cools down the house and we don't have to go anywhere (I think I can hear my scrap room calling...!)

Yesterday we spent the day in Moore River with our neighbours who are camping there this weekend. The girls had a ball!!!! Apart from being sandblasted at the beach initially - the girls had a go at kayaking.......sandboarding (sort of!) and swinging on a rope jumping into the river.....

Wayne showing us how it is done

Gary just about to lose something!!

Jess having a go with Candice

Chionia fell asleep on the way home and today they are both a bit tired and grumpy but oh well!!! We had fun :)
Saturday I hid in my scrap room until I had done my pop up house class for Just Scrapbooking.....I must say I do like how it has turned out.....:)

Just run out of hearts and the word Home from TBZ to finish it off
