Hope you had a "you beaut Australia Day"

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY EVERYONE

Hope you had a great one - we did. We had a sausage sizzle pool and birthday party - Janica - niece - had her 19th birthday yesterday as well - what a great day to celebrate it! As you can imagine with our lot there was lot of water fights - bombies and having fun.

The young ones did a better job at the guzzler (no I did not join in on this one.....). Waterbombs were let off with gusto and then the water fights started in the pool.

It was a hot day - 37degrees I think and today is about the same although I think I have slept most of today even though I was in bed at 10.30 and they kept going to the wee hours of this morning lol.

Love how we celebrate Australia day and the sense of pride you see in people - I grew up overseas as a kid and whenever we said we were from Australia people would love it - always ask question - ok maybe Australia doesn't have the centuries o history that Europe has but I think it is one of the greatest places to live and wouldn't be anywhere else.

Anyway this office is too hot to sit here much longer but thought those overseas in the cold cold snow would like to see what we have been up to hehe....

Been busy scrapping but nothing I can show just yet ;)

Take care :)

And here he is :)

Benjamin Samuel :) Isn't he cute!!! I got to meet him this week although Jess and I had to wear masks and he slept the whole time we were there. He is being a good bub and sleeping and eating well and doing all the right things :)

Just realised I hadn't put Jess's dance costumes up - these were from her concert - Cinderella. Don't you just love the ragged curls :)

Some gorgeous photo's of Chionia after eating a chocolate icecream in Dunsborough and check out my brothers face of everyone at Xmas dinner! Love it Damo :)

Got my hair done today - ran out of time before Xmas and it needed doing - so now I am a dark brunette with a head full of blonde and red foils!!!! YUM Love it :)
OK nearly time to put bugalugs to bed - Jess is having a sleep over - I have a LO to finish - have a new kit to work on with some gorgeous papers and embellishments - just need to work out what to do with it all! lol

Welcome to the world little BENJAMIN SAMUEL

A day earlier than when he was due but he is now in his mum's and dad's arms loving all the attention - I haven't been in to see him yet :( :( :( as I don't want to give him my GF but he looks so cute and adorable in the photo's dad sent through. Well done Riss and Neil :) Now the fun begins :)

Not much happening here - me - I have good and bad days - today not so good throat/glands have swelled up again and tbh I have been resting etc so don't know why it has flared up again but it is annoying the hell out of me ggrrr........

House is slowly returning to normal - christmas stuff has been put away for another year, school stuff has been purchased and ready for Year 3!!!!! Chionia is back at daycare and enjoying it and Jess busy with friends and helping daddy :)

DOne a little scrapping - can't stay awake long enough at night so manage to do litlle bits here and there during the day. Working on a 5 page one atm - a bit of a scraplift from Amanda's master entry - I know when I saw it way back in June that I would have to do my version of it as I just lvoed it then and still do!

HAPPY 2008 to you all

Wishing you all a fantastic healthy and happy 2008.

Me - well I didn't end 2007 or start 2008 too well. I ended up with glandular fever Sunday night and only know just getting rid of the horrible throat, achey bones and temp although I can't believe how tired you do get - I was ready for bed last night at 7pm and went to bed at 8pm while Gary had to go get Jess from across the road and Chionia sung herself to sleep.

I do need to say a few things though.....

As many of you may know I have been part of a baby's scrappers group on Essential Baby since I started scrapping - before meeting this absolutely beautiful bunch of ladies I was very wary of chat rooms etc - all for a good reason there are some horrible places out there on the www BUT - this group of ladies within days have organised a cleaner for me to help out for several weeks - now most of these wonderful ladies I have never even met irl and only know them through EB - I don't know how to thank them all - their thoughtfulness and kindness always amazes me and I never thought I would be a recipient of it but here I am. I only wish they all lived closer so I could thank them in person. Even Gary was stumped for words when I told him last night. I could scount some of you as some of my closest friends and that is weird seeing I have never met you as such. Thankyou thankyou thankyou......

Fiona - you deserve a huge thanks too - you have been looking out for me and I know you will keep me in line and tell me off if I do too much. Thanks for our chat yesterday.

Me - not sure what to expect with GF but will take it easy over the next few weeks / months and do what I need to get better. I have stopped teaching for the next month or so and cut back on work - will be organising a bookkeeper to help out once a week and Chionia goes back to daycare next week. There are a few weeks before school starts so hopefully I can get on top of most of it and just take things one day at a timebefore then. Thankyou everyone for your kindwords and concern. Maybe it is meant to be - to make me slow down and reassess things (yes mum I can hear you!) 2008 will be a good year.

ok I am off to check out where chionia is cause it has gone too quiet for my liking and will update - left some photo's of our time in Dunsborough
